About Mizuchi

Born in Colaba. Inspired by Japan. Made for people who don't want to dress like everyone else.

Mizuchi is a homegrown clothing and lifestyle brand from Colaba, Mumbai, created by Zheeshaan Ali, a 27-year-old designer, music producer and DJ with a long-standing obsession with Japanese culture, art, music and street style.

What started as a simple idea — to make the kind of clothing he actually wanted to wear — slowly became Mizuchi.

The world of Mizuchi brings together everything we love: Japan, cats, bold artwork, music, street culture and really good clothes. From oversized graphic T-shirts and Japanese-inspired artwork to posters and limited pieces, every Mizuchi design is created to have its own personality rather than following whatever everyone else is wearing.

We take our clothing seriously too. Beyond the artwork, we focus heavily on fabric, fit, print quality and finishing, because a great graphic means very little if the T-shirt itself doesn't feel great to wear.

And we like keeping things rare.

A large part of Mizuchi is intentionally produced in very limited quantities, with many pieces and designs available exclusively at our Colaba store. We don't want thousands of identical T-shirts everywhere. Finding something at Mizuchi should feel a little like discovering something you weren't supposed to find.

Our store sits tucked away in Third Pasta Lane, Colaba, surrounded by one of Mumbai's most distinctive neighbourhoods. It's not just somewhere to buy a T-shirt — it's where the full Mizuchi world lives. Come across the clothes, artwork, posters and pieces that you won't necessarily find online.

Mizuchi has also been featured by Mid-Day, but we're still very much what we started as: an independent Mumbai brand making things because we think they're cool.
